At 0.91× its ZIP baseline, Golden Gate City Unit 1 sits below the replacement rate of comparable-age housing across 34116.

The ZIP baseline counts only pre-2010 homes, so neighborhoods are compared against housing of similar age rather than against newer stock that has not needed a roof yet. Bars are drawn on a fixed 0–60% scale.

These figures are county-wide across all housing vintages. A subdivision-level version of this number would restate the year the neighborhood was built rather than describe how long its roofs last, so it is not published here.

Permit records begin January 2020. A roof replaced before then is not in this dataset. Hurricane Wilma (2005) and Hurricane Irma (2017) both fall before this window opens.

What Neighbors Paid

Roof permit values in Golden Gate City Unit 1

Lower quartile
$10,000
Median
$14,350
Upper quartile
$17,800

Half of the 35 contractor-pulled roof permits here declared between $10,000 and $17,800, with a median of $14,350 — in the lower third of Collier subdivisions.

Declared value is the figure reported on the permit application. It is not a receipt, and it may exclude tear-off, permit fees, or work added after filing. It is the closest public-record proxy for what a job cost. Declared values countywide cluster into a lower band near $15,000 and a higher band above $40,000, so subdivisions are ranked against each other rather than against a single countywide average.

Ranked by roof permits pulled in this subdivision, January 2020 through June 2026. Permits filed under more than one license number by the same business are combined; "+1" marks a second license on record. Contractor names link to a directory profile where one exists.

Of the 50 roof permits pulled here, 15 were owner-builder permits filed by the homeowner rather than a licensed contractor. They are counted in the replacement rate above, because the roof was replaced either way. They are excluded from the cost and contractor figures on this page, since an owner-builder permit typically declares materials only.

About This Data

Collier County Growth Management permit records joined to Property Appraiser parcel and building data. Homes counted are unincorporated single-family parcels built before 2010. Permits are single-family roof permits issued January 2020 through June 2026. Cost and contractor figures cover contractor-pulled permits declaring $1,000 or more.

Replacement counts exclude permits that were cancelled, denied, rejected, withdrawn as incomplete, or filed under an invalid license — 71 such permits countywide. Including them would raise the countywide total from 14,310 to 14,362 replacements. Counts measure permits issued, not projects completed. Roofs on newly built homes are permitted under the builder's master permit and do not appear in this dataset. Read our full methodology →
